Now that it's winter and the tracks you're riding on are probably not as dusty, there's a good chance that your air filter can go more than one ride in between cleanings.
If this is the case, it's a good idea to tape up your bike in an effort to keep your air filter dry when washing your bike.
Run duct tape around the edges of your seat to help keep overspray from your powerwasher or hose from working its way into the airbox.
While you're at it, be sure to cover up the air vents on your sidepanels, too.
After you wash your bike, it's a good idea to remove the seat, just to make sure. If your filter did get wet, gently dab the moisture off with a paper towel.
